Climate-controlled storage

Climate-controlled storage. 70-75°F and normal indoor humidity, every day of the year.

Most 'climate-controlled' self-storage is air-conditioned up front and a metal box in the back. Ours is one sealed 200,000 sq ft building, conditioned everywhere stuff is stored — the range conservators and piano techs actually ask for.

What climate-controlled actually means here

Not a marketing word. A spec sheet.

70-75°F, year-round

Same range as your living room. No 110°F July attics. No 38°F January cold-snaps. Wood doesn't crack, glue doesn't fail, candles don't melt into the cushions.

Normal indoor humidity

The Austin air outside is 80%+ half the year. Inside our facility it's the range pianos, guitars, and conservators ask for. No musty smell, no swollen drawers, no warped veneer.

Sealed building envelope

Not a metal box on a frontage road. Insulated walls, conditioned air, sealed dock doors. The climate stays climate even when the truck door is open.

Pest-controlled facility

Quarterly commercial pest service on a 200,000 sq ft building. No mouse nests in your upholstery, no roaches in the book boxes.

Fire suppression + monitoring

Sprinkled, alarmed, and monitored 24/7. The kind of system insurance companies actually like to see on the certificate.

Pickup and delivery included

We come get it, we bring it back. You're paying for climate control, not for the privilege of driving a U-Haul to a humid metal shed.

Why Austin chooses Heavenly

Other Austin movers
Heavenly

'Climate-controlled' that's really 'air-conditioned office up front, metal units in the back.' 95°F inside the unit by 3pm in July.

Conditioned air everywhere stuff is stored. 70-75°F whether you visit at 7am or 7pm.

No humidity control. Leather goes sticky, wood swells, guitars detune themselves, art warps in the frame.

Humidity in the normal indoor range. The range conservators and instrument techs recommend for long-term storage.

Roll-up door opens straight to the parking lot. Every visit dumps Austin humidity directly into your unit.

Loading dock and conditioned corridors. Your stuff doesn't get a humidity bath every time someone opens a door.

How climate-controlled storage runs

  1. 01

    Inventory

We catalog and photograph the climate-sensitive pieces — leather, wood, art, electronics, instruments — so you have a record before the truck rolls.

  2. 02

    Pad-wrap & load

Quilted pads on every wood surface, shrink-wrap on upholstery, art and mirrors crated. Then straight into our truck — no driveway sun-bake.

  3. 03

    Climate-controlled storage

Sealed inside the 200,000 sq ft facility at 70-75°F and humidity in the normal indoor range. Same conditions as the day it was made.

  4. 04

    Delivery

Text us your date. Same crew delivers door-to-door. You never visit the facility, never lift a piece twice.

I had a Steinway, two leather Eames chairs, and an entire wall of vinyl in storage for eight months while we renovated. Pulled it all out — piano didn't need a re-tune, leather was supple, not a single sleeve warped. That's not normal Austin storage. That's why I paid for Heavenly.

Quick questions

Straight answers — no runaround.

What exactly does '70-75°F, normal indoor humidity' protect?+

Solid wood furniture (no warping or cracking), leather (no drying or sticking), pianos and stringed instruments (stable tuning, no soundboard cracking), art and framed pieces (no foxing or buckling), electronics (no condensation corrosion), books and documents (no mildew), wine and vinyl (no heat damage).

Is the whole facility climate-controlled or just part of it?+

Whole facility. 100% of our 200,000 sq ft runs on the same conditioned-air system. No 'premium' vs 'standard' zones — every storage account gets the same conditions.

How does this compare to self-storage that advertises 'climate-controlled'?+

Most self-storage 'climate control' is heat-and-cool only, no active humidity management, and the units open directly to the outside. Ours is a sealed building with managed temperature AND humidity, and your stuff enters and leaves through a conditioned loading area.

What about high-value items — art, antiques, instruments?+

Standard valuation (Silver) is included. For art, antiques, and instruments we recommend upgrading to Gold or Platinum coverage at quote time — pennies on the dollar relative to the piece, and it covers full replacement, not depreciated cash value.

Can I visit my unit?+

Yes, by appointment. Most climate-storage customers don't — pulling individual pieces via on-demand delivery is faster than driving over, and every visit briefly exposes the unit to outside air. We'll do whichever you prefer.

How fast can I get a single item back?+

Standard on-demand delivery is 48–72 hours. Need a specific chair, a single painting, the rug back out for a dinner party? Text us, we'll pull it and run it over.

Do you charge extra for climate control?+

No. Every Heavenly storage account is in the same climate-controlled facility at the same monthly per-unit-size rate. You're not picking 'climate' as an upgrade — it's the only kind we run.
