Released-value coverage at the state required minimum. If something we transport is lost or damaged, we settle at sixty cents per pound of the item, regardless of its actual value. Free and automatic.
Mid-tier coverage for households with mixed-value belongings.
Upgraded released-value coverage at two dollars per pound. Reasonable middle ground for most Austin households — typical bedroom furniture, electronics, and kitchenware are well covered without paying for full-replacement on every box.
Highest tier — for art, antiques, and high-value households.

The ROI in plain English. Gold is a flat $179 and pays for itself the first time a mid-weight item (sofa, dresser, bed frame) gets damaged. Platinum is $299 and starts making sense once a single piece would cost more than ~$1,000 to replace — original art, designer furniture, antiques. All three tiers carry a $0 deductible, which is unusual for third-party valuation coverage.
Illustrative weights; actual payouts depend on the item's true weight and the tier on your bill of lading. Per-pound rates are federally fixed and do not vary by mover.

Silver
Pick Silver if you're moving standard furniture and replaceable electronics — and you'd rather self-insure the small risk than pay an add-on.
Gold
Pick Gold if you have a mix of nicer furniture, a quality TV or two, and you'd want a meaningful payout if a heavy piece took damage in transit.
Platinum
Pick Platinum if you're moving original art, antiques, designer pieces, or high-end electronics — anything where two dollars a pound wouldn't make you whole.
Silver is automatic. Every move we book includes released-value coverage at sixty cents per pound. You don't sign anything extra, you don't pay anything extra — it's required by state regulation and we comply by default.
Gold is a flat $179. Platinum is a flat $299. Both carry a $0 deductible — meaning if something we transport gets damaged, you don't pay anything out of pocket before we settle. That's unusual; most third-party moving policies carry $250 to $500 deductibles. Tell your move coordinator before move day, or use the form below if you're already booked. The tier you choose is noted on your order and written into the bill of lading you sign at pickup.
The math, plainly. A 50-lb coffee table pays out $30 on Silver, $100 on Gold, $200 on Platinum. A 600-lb queen bedroom set pays out $360, $1,200, or $2,400. Most Austin households with standard furniture pick Gold — it's our most-selected tier — because $179 covers the kind of dings that actually happen on a move. Households moving original art, antiques, or high-end electronics usually go Platinum.

No. Valuation is not insurance — it's a state regulated mover liability program governed by our published tariff and the bill of lading you sign at pickup.
Valuation is the dollar amount per pound your mover agrees to pay if an item we transport is lost or damaged. State and federal regulations require every move to include released-value coverage at a certain rate. In Texas, that's what we call our Silver Plan, and it's automatic. Gold and Platinum are optional upgrades to two dollars or four dollars per pound.
No. Valuation is a state regulated liability program between you and your mover, governed by the bill of lading you sign at pickup and our published tariff. It is not a separate third-party policy. If you want true full-replacement coverage with a deductible model, you would buy that from a third-party provider — independent of Heavenly. Many homeowners insurance providers will offer this if asked.
Anytime before move day. The simplest path is during the quote conversation — your move coordinator will note Silver, Gold, or Platinum on the order and have it on the bill of lading you sign at pickup. You can also upgrade or downgrade up to forty-eight hours before move day with a call, text, or the upgrade form on this page.
Items we transport in the truck. Damage caused by the crew during loading, transit, or unloading is covered up to the per-pound rate of the tier you selected. Items we did not pack ourselves, perishables, hazardous materials, and items left out of the inventory are excluded — standard moving-industry rules apply.
